5 Ways To Be Known In Your Chosen Field

There are numerous people doing the same thing you're doing, be it public speaking, product sales, writing, just name it. Thus, it becomes very essential to be able to map yourself out and become relevant in that field.

Over time, certain names have become synonymous to different fields. At the mention of Prof. Wole Soyinka, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Wizkid, Niyi Adesanya, Davido, Emeka Nobis, John Obidi, etc, you at once tie them to a particular field. Why? They've separated themselves from the uncountable others in the same field.

How then can you separate yourself from the numerous others in your field and rise to the top in the process:

1) Be Known for Something

Anyone who rises to the top rises for and in something! You can't be all at once. What do you have passion for? What kind of business do you want to do? What kind of career do you want to pursue? Don't say all, you can't be all. Instead of putting your eggs in several baskets, put all your eggs in one basket and give full attention to it.

2) Be Updated
Knowledge rules the world. To rise to the top of your field, you must ensure you know about current happenings. What's the new trend in fashion? What's the new invention in technology? What's the new style of marketing? You must be updated or you'll get outdated. People will keep coming to you when they know you have something to offer them.

3) Make Yourself Known
Thanks to Social Media that has made connection easier! You bake cakes, provide various services, do public speaking, or whatever you do. Ensure everyone out there knows what you're doing. Don't be quiet about it.

The key is ensuring you register yourself in their minds long enough for them to know you do it. In doing this, you must be dynamic. Be innovative. Do the same thing others are doing but do it differently. Put your extra touch and spice, this is what makes you stand out.

4) Add Value
No one rises to the top without adding value to others. You must offer a product or service that's needful. You must give a necessary solution to a problem. You must do something that will help someone. You can't give what you don't have, that's why you must keep getting knowledge.

5) Be Consistent
Yes, it will get hard, but don't stop. I've never seen anyone who gave up in a chosen field and ended up a success in it. Keep at whatever you've chosen to do, and give your all, with time, you'll become a success, and the world will reckon with you.

The sky is large enough for every bird to fly without bumping into each other. Go make your mark!
